Faculty at business schools and other institutions are invited to apply for research grants through a new GMAC® initiative known as the Management Education Research Institute (MERInstitute). The institute is designed to stimulate and promote research into business school issues—and help you better understand the value and outcomes of management education.
The MERInstitute will award researchers grants of as much as US$100,000 to help them provide the b-school community with comprehensive research from a diverse set of perspectives and a wide variety of academic disciplines. The Institute will fund grants, affiliated research using licensed data sets from the GMAC® survey series, faculty fellowships, and research assistantships. In addition, the MERInstitute is accepting applications and proposals for Research Assistantships and Faculty Fellowships.
MERInstitute programs and awards are available to citizens of all nations. A committee of faculty from educational institutions around the world will evaluate proposals and recommend which research projects to support.
Information about the new institute, including the Call for Proposals for the MERInstitute Grants and Affiliated Research programs, is available at www.gmac.com/MERInstitute and was announced in August at the Academy of Management conference. The MERInstitute is also sponsoring an award for best paper in management education, to be presented at the conference.
