GMAT® Vendor Transition Continues Down Smooth Path
Pearson VUE and ACT have started administering the GMAT® exam to a select group of candidates as they prepare to assume responsibility for delivering the exam in January 2006.
Hundreds of prospective MBAs around the world took the GMAT® exam during July 15-August 15 through the GMAT® Limited Summer Test, part of an effort by GMAC® to ensure that all systems are prepared for the upcoming handover of test administration responsibility to our new vendors. On July 15, the first candidate to take the GMAT® exam through the program successfully completed the process at a Pearson VUE testing site in Australia, thus beginning a new era in the history of the Graduate Management Admission Test®.

The Limited Summer Testing program was designed to give Pearson VUE, a business of NCS Pearson, Inc., and ACT, Inc., the opportunity to test the critical systems associated with the delivery the GMAT® exam. The GMAT® Limited Summer Test took place in 20 cities around the world.

The prequalified candidates who participated in the program also stand to come out ahead: They are entitled to a refund of the $250 testing fee after completing the exam and filling out an online survey about their experience.
