GMAT® test-taking volume for January 2004 echoes January 2001.

The GMAT® volume through January 31, 2004—17,451 worldwide—shows a 17.35% decrease when compared with the number of tests taken during the same time period in 2003. Testing volume for the first month of 2004 is close to the volume for the first month of 2001 (20,517).

The number of tests taken so far in 2004 in the United States shows a decline of 12.38% from testing volume during the first month of 2003. Outside the United States, the decline in testing volume is more pronounced—25.67%.
