A total of 218,037 GMAT® tests were taken worldwide in 2003. To compare, a total of 249,632 tests were taken worldwide in 2002, the most GMAT® tests ever taken in a year.

In 2003, testing volume was highest in the United States, with a total of 145,707 tests taken for the year—a 10.34% decline from 2002.

Outside the United States, a total of 72,330 tests were taken—a 16.99% decline from 2002.
