GMAT Transition Under Way
New GMAT® vendors Pearson VUE and ACT meet and greet at GMAC® Annual Industry Conference

Pearson VUE and ACT, the Council’s new vendors for developing and administering the GMAT® beginning in 2006, had a visible presence at the 2004 GMAC® Annual Industry Conference in June, which was attended by more than 600 school professionals.

In addition to a booth staffed by company representatives throughout the conference, GMAC® and Pearson VUE, the prime contractor, hosted a “Working Happy Hour with Pearson VUE” to get feedback from school professionals and to answer questions about the issues important to schools. Bob Whelan, president of Pearson VUE, was on hand to listen and respond to questions throughout the event.

GMAC® also hosted a lunch for conference attendees from schools outside the U.S. to address their specific concerns about the change in GMAT® vendors.

As the transition to Pearson VUE and ACT moves forward, GMAC® will continue to meet with its School Advisory Group (SAG), a group assembled to provide ongoing dialogue among school professionals and GMAC® about transition issues.
