GMAC Partners with MBA CSC
GMAC®, having adopted the MBA Career Services Council (MBA CSC) reporting criteria for employment data, will be collecting and making the data available to prospective students in the MBA Pathfinder® school search database on mba.com.

As employment success of schools' MBA graduates became increasingly important in MBA students' choice of programs, the need to report selected employment data in MBA Pathfinder became evident. Consequently, GMAC® looked to MBA Career Services Council (MBA CSC) for guidance, with the explicit intention of adopting their reporting standards for such data as number of graduates, number of job offers, number of job acceptances, and salary.

In February, the MBA CSC board of directors voted unanimously to partner with GMAC® to have graduate business program employment data audited. As a start, GMAC® is offering voluntary mock audits to schools who want feedback on and assistance with their collection and reporting of employment data.

Since 2002, GMAC® has offered mock audits of data displayed in MBA Pathfinder®, to help schools prepare for the official, random audits, which began in 2003. Mock audits involving employment data began in April 2004. Inclusion of employment data in official MBA Pathfinder® audits will not occur until 2005.
